She is currently an assistant professor in the Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University in Orange, CA. Her research program focuses on fluid-structure interactions in biology, including odor capture by aquatic and terrestrial insects and crustaceans and odor detection by domestic dogs. She also competes in nose work with her dogs.\n
