Meet the Education Team

Deann has been involved in Nose Work since 2013, and her passion for the sport has continued to grow over the years. She began hosting NACSW trials and ORTs in 2015 and has enjoyed participating in many different facets of the Nose Work community.

Deann is a NACSW Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI), ORT Certifying Official (CO), and ORT Judge. She also works for NACSW as an ORT Coordinator, COI Administrator, and Trial Judge Administrator, which allows her to support the organization and its community in a variety of roles.

She finds great fulfillment in helping teams develop their skills and watching the partnerships between dogs and handlers flourish through training and competition. Her extensive experience as an instructor, judge, official, trial host, competitor, and administrator provides her with a well-rounded perspective on the sport.

At home on the ranch, Deann shares her life with four Labradors who compete in Nose Work and one cat who keeps everyone in line.
