WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:
Building a strong foundation in K9 Nose Work is the key to success at all levels and never ends. This webinar will cover the fundamentals in establishing a foundation in training that you can confidently add layers to. We will also discuss Handler Responsibilities and understanding key components in competition nose work such as: starting the search, identifying the phases your dog goes through from first encountering odor to locating the source, what type of hide is your dog working, identifying, and dealing with periods of not searching, and determining when the search is over. Lastly, we will discuss trial pitfalls: receiving a No call, missing hides, and handler mental error issues.
