INSTRUCTOR: Nancy Reyes CNWI

DATE/TIMEFriday, February 20, 2026 / 12:30-2:00pm Pacific Time

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:

This webinar explores how scent work can transform fearful, anxious, or environmentally sensitive dogs — not through control and over-management, but by empowering the dog to make choices, engage their natural curiosity, and find joy through scenting. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to use search setups, and handler strategies to help worried dogs move from avoidance to engagement. We’ll explore the science behind why sniffing calms the brain, how to structure searches that create safety and success, and practical ways to integrate scent work into your behavior programs. It blends behavior science, emotional regulation, and training strategy — showing how nose work becomes therapy for the worried mind.
