PNWI℠/ANWI℠ Request for Extension

It is our goal to work with each individual to maintain their status and work towards certification. We realize that from time to time life demands can place unexpected challenges on our instructors and we want to minimize stress where and when we can.

Please upload all the requirements that you have completed to date in your Portal before filing an extension.

Extensions can be given for hardship reasons or general time reasons. Please indicate which type of extension you are requesting.
Request for Hardship Extension can include but is not limited to: illness/injury for yourself or immediate family member in which you are a primary caregiver, financial reasons, or death in the family.
Request for Standard Extension for general reasons is non-specific and is requested when you need additional time to complete the requirements.

  • Standard Extension: A fee of $75.00 is required.
  • Hardship Extension: No fee is applied; however, if the hardship does not meet NACSW criteria, it will be treated as a Standard Extension, incurring the $75.00 fee.

An extension is given ONE TIME for a maximum of 6 months. Extra time might be granted but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

NOTE: If the extension deadline passes without completion of the requirements, your status will automatically be marked as “terminated” and you will no longer have access to your Instructor Portal, instructor-only resources or be permitted to use our trademarks and proprietary information (e. g. instructor manual).
If you still wish to complete the program after your extension has expired, you may be asked to go through the PNWI/ANWI reinstatement process.

To request an extension:

  • COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW.
    Requests must be submitted NO EARLIER THAN 60 DAYS before your original requirement completion deadline (2 years from day 1 of your instructor course)
  • PAY THE $75.00 EXTENSION FEE, using this link: https://k9nosework.com/product/instructor-anwi-pnwi-extension-fee-75/.
    Please indicate on the form how much time you are requesting/the date you will have completed and submitted your requirements.
    The fee must be paid before the extension will take effect.
    NOTE: Please email [email protected] BEFORE paying the extension fee if you feel you have a hardship that may warrant waiving the fee.
