Workshops and Events

Thank you for your interest in hosting a K9 Nose Work® event. Our event offerings continue to bring K9 Nose Work® enthusiasts the most informative and up to date educational experiences.

K9 Nose Work℠ events are offered for all skill levels from beginning to advanced.  Anyone can host an event for their students, club, or attendees of a special event, like a workshop or seminar.

NACSW℠ K9 Nose Work® sponsored or approved events also offer Continuing Education Units for Certified Nose Work Instructors (CNWI).

NACSW/K9NW sponsored events include workshops, seminars, webinars, training fests or clinics presented by the co-founders Jill Marie O’Brien and Amy Herot, as well as online webinars in the K9NW course catalog.

For upcoming NACSW-sponsored in-person and online events, check out our calendar.

For our list of our upcoming and recorded webinars, go to the Webinars page.

If you wish to host an “Intro to K9 Nose Work®,” “Intro to Odor” workshop or another event with a NACSW/K9 Nose Work® co-founder (Jill Marie O’Brien, Amy Herot), please fill out this contact form.

Senior faculty members and K9 Nose Work® instructors in good standing are permitted to offer workshops, seminars, webinars, clinics, demonstrations, classes, and other instructional events, provided they present and use the concepts and training methods of K9 Nose Work® under the authority of NACSW.

For a comprehensive list of K9 Nose Work® instructors, check out the instructor directory HERE.

Note: CNWIs (not ANWIs or PNWIs) may present “Introduction to K9 Nose Work®” and “Introduction to Odor” workshops longer than three (3) hours in their LOCAL area. For any such workshop longer than three hours held more than 100 miles from the instructor’s home area, the CNWI must obtain written approval from the NACSW Education Division (education@k9nosework.com) in advance.

Other non-NACSW/K9NW sponsored events MAY also qualify, but are not guaranteed, for CEUs, e. g. seminars by non-NACSW presenters, non-NACSW webinars, nose work camps (virtual or live), or certain conferences, e. g. APDT, CANIS, Penn Vet Working Dog Conference, IPCA, etc.

Please submit the CEU Approval Form for review by our CEU department.
Please note that all events must be submitted for CEU approval at least one month before the event – CEUs will NOT be awarded after the event has already taken place.

If you wish to apply for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for CNWIs (Certified Nose Work Instructors) for your event, please fill out the “Non-NACSW/K9NW Hosted Event CEU Request Form.”

Note: This form must be submitted at least 1 month prior to the event, so the CEU department may review the information and determine whether the event qualifies for CEUs. Please note that only EVENT HOSTS can apply for CEUs, not event attendees/registrants.

All events MUST BE PRE-APPROVED – CEUs will NOT be awarded after the event has already taken place.

Note: Events that are not open to the public and/or coaching days or class-format clinics with a limited number of working teams and auditors will NOT be approved.

A host may either choose to provide this “CEU Submission Forms for In-Person Events” for any attending CNWIs or remind them to bring their own to be signed by the host or speaker.

For webinars, the host should remind the presenter to include a secret word, which registered CNWIs will then have to submit through the online secret word form.

If you have any questions, please email ceu@k9nosework.com
