Instructions for Resetting Your Passphrase

Please follow the instructions below to reset your pass phrase:

– Go to the Login page: https://education.k9nosework.com/login

– Follow the instructions under “DON’T KNOW YOUR PASS PHRASE?” Your User ID is either the email address you originally set up an account with, or your instructor ID. It is not your NACSW member ID. If you are a PNWI, ANWI or CNWI listed on the instructor search, you may look up your instructor ID here.

– You will receive an email with a one-time use password and a one-time use link which you may use to log into the portal. You must use the password or link within 15 minutes of receiving the email. If you use the password instead of the link, make sure you include all special characters such as dashes. It might be easiest to copy and paste the code instead of typing it. If you use the link, you will not need to enter the passcode.

– Once you’re logged into the Instructor Portal, go to the “Change Your Pass Phrase” menu item and follow the instructions to change your pass phrase.

INCORRECT PASS PHRASE ERROR AFTER RESET

If you followed the instructions above, but you get an “incorrect pass phrase” error the next time you log in, it may be because there’s an inadvertent space or character at the beginning or end of the pass phrase.

The website has a feature that allows the user to see the pass phrase that’s being typed into a field. Using this feature will ensure that the pass phrase you typed is actually what you think you typed. This checkbox option is available in the “Change Your Pass Phrase” page of the portal, as well as on the Login page. We recommend that you use it.

If you’re not sure whether there’s an extra space at the end of your phrase, try selecting the whole phrase and see if there’s a space at the end. In the image below, the first selected phrase does not have a space after “nose work” but the second selected phrase does. Please also note that the pass phrase is case-sensitive.

QUESTIONS?

We generally don’t reset people’s pass phrases manually for security reasons. If you experience issues with the instructions above, please email [email protected].
